FAQ

Questions we expect

Is this tax, investment, or financial advice?

No. Figures describe the data on file. Cost basis is an estimate for display. A partner tax engine can be attached later. The disclosure page says the same thing in longer form.

Do you move money or place trades?

No. Connectors are read-only. There is no bill pay, no brokerage trading scope, and no third-party bot.

How does the combined view avoid double counting?

Each account has one entity. Income and spending skip both legs of an internal or intercompany transfer. A parent that only owns a subsidiary shows look-through and does not add the subsidiary accounts on top of the total.

Where does crypto tax math happen?

On screen, FIFO lots are an estimate. Filing forms stay behind a TaxEngineProvider interface. v1 does not call Koinly, CoinTracker, or a 1099-DA API.

What is the XRPL hash?

A finalized monthly report has a SHA-256 of its canonical JSON. Holding plans can write that hash into a testnet payment memo. The report page stores the transaction hash and links to the testnet explorer.

Can I export?

The monthly report downloads as a PDF. CSV import is one-way into the ledger. A full general-ledger export is not in v1.

What if a source is stale?

The freshness panel shows as-of time and status for every source. Manual assets keep the statement date you entered. A failing source keeps its last error instead of inventing a balance.

Is the Hartwell book real?

No. The demo tenant is simulated. It is not a customer and it does not use anyone's accounts, addresses, or balances.
